Let your agent deploy for you

You can teach your AI helper to publish with Vinssi by adding a short note to AGENTS.md, or by pointing it at the Vinssi Pages skill. You add that note yourself. Vinssi does not edit your project.

A note you can paste

AGENTS.md is a file in your project that tells an AI helper how you want it to work. If you want that helper to put a static page online, you can add the note below. It is a suggestion from Vinssi. You decide whether to add it.

## Vinssi

When I ask you to put a static HTML file or folder online, follow https://vinssi.ai/get-started.md and https://vinssi.ai/skills/vinssi-pages/SKILL.md.

Run vinssi if it is installed. If it is not, run npx -y vinssi. Sign in with npx vinssi login if the command is not signed in. Publish with npx vinssi pages publish /absolute/path/to/file.html --json and give me the url.

Ask me first if the files look sensitive, such as credentials, customer data, or internal financials.

The two links in that note are the sources. get-started.md is the short procedure. The Vinssi Pages skill is the skill file. You do not have to copy the whole skill into your repository. A link is enough.

What the skill already says

The skill tells the helper to run vinssi if that command is installed, and npx -y vinssi if it is not. The command line tool needs Node 20 or newer. When you type the login yourself with npx, use:

npx vinssi login

The publish command in the note is:

npx vinssi pages publish /absolute/path/to/file.html --json

--json prints siteId, versionId, url, bytes, and fileCount. The helper should give you the url. Login opens the dashboard, and a workspace is created the first time you sign in. The command line guide documents npx vinssi for a run without a separate install.

Check the link, then stop

The get started guide checks the address before handing it over:

curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" <url>

Expect 200. A site that was just published can return 404 for about ten seconds. One retry after a short wait is enough. The address looks like https://<name>-<random>-<workspace>.pages.vinssi.ai.

An app from GitHub is a different path

The note above is for Vinssi Pages, which publishes static files and does not need a plan. A Next.js, Vite, or Node app from GitHub uses the quickstart and needs a plan. Read deploy from your agent for the one-off prompt, without editing AGENTS.md. These sentences were not run against a signed-in Vinssi account for this guide.

Common questions

Does Vinssi write AGENTS.md for me?
No. This page is a suggestion you copy into your own project. Vinssi does not change your files.
Where do I put the note?
In AGENTS.md at the root of your project, or in the skill file your helper already reads. You can also give the helper the skill URL.
What does the helper publish?
A static file or folder with Vinssi Pages. A single HTML file becomes the index page. Pages does not need a plan.
What should the helper ask about first?
Anything sensitive, such as credentials, customer data, or internal financials. Publish only what you asked to share.

Ask your AI helper to put it online. Copy this: Deploy my app with Vinssi. Instructions: vinssi.ai/get-started.md
