What does hosting an app cost?

One plan for each app

Billing is per app. You pick Tiny, App, or Pro App for that app. Tiny is €5 a month, App is €9 a month, and Pro App is €15 a month. Prices exclude VAT. The plans and limits page describes App as the plan for a production Next.js site. You can change the plan later.

The workspace has one subscription that holds the plan for every app. An agency that hosts several client apps can read hosting client projects. A startup choosing Next.js and Postgres can read the startup stack.

Credit on a new workspace

New workspaces receive €9 of credit. Credits are applied automatically to invoices before the card is charged. The balance is shown on the dashboard. The signup credit is applied to the first invoice when you choose a plan in the quickstart.

A database is a separate line

An app can add one managed Postgres database. That charge sits on the same subscription, next to the app plan. Postgres Lite is €5 a month. Postgres Starter is €12, Standard is €45, and Plus is €89 a month. Those prices exclude VAT.

Vinssi sets DATABASE_URL, the address the app uses to reach the database. You do not type that value yourself. The tiers are in the database guide and on plans and limits.

A static page is not an app plan

Vinssi Pages publishes a static file or folder from your computer and returns a link. It does not need a plan. An app deployed from GitHub does need a plan before Deploy works. The pricing page shows the three app prices. These figures are the documented prices. They were not checked by opening a paid account for this guide.
